A 20-year dream in an old service station
Open since the weekend of December 5, 2020 · 5800 9th Ave N

The dream
V9 Eats started out as just a dream that our family would tell each other about for the past 20 years. Our passion for cooking fresh, delicious food showed up day in and day out. As the dream became reality, the old service station this once was quickly turned into a bright and eclectic family spot.
Our mission is to give the neighborhood home-made, mouth-watering food in an atmosphere reminiscent of your kitchen table. V9 offers its own take on vintage, built on the history and bones of the old service station.
Owner Carolyn Dalton was a conceptual designer before she was a restaurateur, and we opened with just five things on the menu. The board has grown since. The rule hasn't: All fresh! No junk! We make our own pickles, cheese sauce, chili and bourbon BBQ sauce, brew our own hibiscus tea, and keep Mama Pearl's bread and goods from local vendors on the shelf.

The old station
Some of our regulars had their first jobs at the old gas station on this corner, and a few still come in wearing their old uniforms. The garage bays they worked in are the dining room now.
As written up in I Love the Burg →Smoked out front
Wings and baby back ribs go low and slow in the smoker out front. Inside, the cheese sauce, the chili and the pickles are made from scratch. That's the whole idea: All fresh! No junk!
